Third generation trade, first generation shop

Sable Tailoring opened on Chiltern Street in 2011. The trade goes back three generations. We are proud of both halves of that.

Our story

Cloth, chalk, and time enough

Petra Sable learned the trade before she opened the door here. Sable Tailoring is the first shop to carry the name, but the third generation to do the work.

Petra cuts. Two seamstresses finish. Nothing leaves the shop until it has been on a body and checked in the mirror. That is the whole method, and it does not change for a hem or for a suit.

Petra cuts every pattern and pins every fitting. Two seamstresses finish the work by hand and machine beside her.
